Questions about Yoshimura Strawberry Park

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit us is between 9 am- 11 am.

Especially during weekends, the farm can sometimes get busy around lunchtime.  During peak seasons (early spring), we occasionally experience a shortage of strawberries in the afternoon and have to close early, so please visit us in the morning if possible.

What should I wear for strawberry picking?

As our strawberry fields are enclosed (under a vinyl roof) it is fairly dry. However, you can get soil on your shoes and clothes so we recommend you wearing something you don’t mind getting a bit dirty.

Can I take photos and post on social media?

Yes, please do! (Please make sure to be considerate to others).

Do I have to make a reservation?

No. You can just show up during our opening hours!

If you want to make sure we are open when you arrive please contact us using this form.

Can I bring my young child in a stroller?

We welcome people of all ages including toddlers with strollers! We have enough space in the vinyl houses to push the strollers down.

How about wheelchairs?

The paths are wide enough for wheelchairs. We try to make our strawberry fields are fun for to anyone!

Do you have parking?

Yes. We have spaces for up to 20 cars.

What else is there to do in Mashiko town?

Mashiko (the town that the strawberry farm is located in) has many things to do and see. Please check out our page about exploring Mashiko.

What are your opening hours?

Please see this page with the opening hours. For strawberry seasons please see here.

What is the closest station and how far is it?

Kitayama station on the Moka railway is the closest to the strawberry farm and it is only 4 min walk away.
